Welcome!

Red heart in the handsWelcome!

Epworth United Methodist church is a vibrant, intergenerational congregation located in Bethlehem Township, PA. Our worship style is best described as casual-traditional. We love one another, forgive one another, and seek to be a church where people can experience the love of God revealed in Jesus Christ.

Our prayer for you is that you are abundantly aware of God’s unfailing love and unending presence wherever you are on your journey. If you see something of interest to you, please don’t hesitate to call the church office or join us in worship!

Adult Sunday School Class

0037-0408-1819-5450The Adult Class which meets 9 AM Sunday morning began a new lesson series on April 3rd based on the DVD Faith Lesson series, “That the World May Know” by Rev. Ray VanderLaan. Each week there is a 20-30-minute lesson on DVD and a discussion of the topic presented on the DVD.

The lesson for this Sunday is First Fruits (Tel Jericho): As Jericho was God’s first gift to the Jews in the land of Israel, we are to devote to him our “first fruits” – the possessions and talents he has given each of us. For additional information, please see Pastor Sherry.

Yard Sale – May 21, 2016

2nd Annual Yard Sale, Saturday, May 21st.

Rent a space. Spread the word to family members, friends and even co-workers.  Rent spaces next to each other.  An awesome opportunity for fellowship! One person’s trash is another person’s treasure.

rTnGLX46cYou may have seen on social media the forty days – forty items challenge. The sign reads: “Wednesday, February 10 is the first day of Lent. I have a challenge for you! Each day of Lent, remove one itme from your closet that you no longer wear or need and put it into this trashbag. At the end of forty days, donate these items to a place that can share them with someone who can really use them!”

The coordinator for our Epworth yard sale is asking you to do a little twist on this challenge. Epworth’s Youth are having a yard sale on May 21st. There are two options, you can rent a space or you can donate the items to the youth to sell. The money they make is used for their mission trips. Please go through your home during Lent and put not just clothing items into a bag, but anything that you no longer use. Then donate them to the Epworth Youth or rent a space for the sale.
