Item Request: Safe Harbor is in need of forks, both plastic and metal.
Items may be placed in the basket in the Narthex.
The July Safe Harbor dinner is Tuesday, July 21st. Please sign up on the sheet posted in the Narthex to provide stew, salad, dessert, rolls or butter.
During the month of July the youth will be collecting wearable & useable clothing, shoes, belts, handbags, linens, pillows, blankets, curtains, stuffed animals, hard toys and bicycles. Please have all clothing in a well-tied plastic bag.
The youth will receive money based on the total poundage collected. The items collected will be shared with those in need throughout the world.
Donations may be placed in the Youth Lounge.
Time for some family fun, singing, games and crafts while we learn the story of Jesus and Calling the Disciples.
Come join us @ Epworth on Wednesday July 1st. We will be enjoying activities from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm . Rain or Shine! (We will be indoors if it rains.)
This week we will be creating flip flops to help us follow Jesus. They will be yours to take home and enjoy. We will also be painting our feet and walking across paper for our bulletin board display, eating a cool ice pop snack, searching for items in scavenger hunt and much more family fun and fellowship through the night.
Come join us for this fantastic and relaxing family opportunity!
ALL ARE WELCOME, not just church members. We welcome the community to join us.
The Rejection of Jesus at Nazareth
18 ‘The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
because he has anointed me
to bring good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives
and recovery of sight to the blind,
to let the oppressed go free,
19 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour.’
20And he rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant, and sat down. The eyes of all in the synagogue were fixed on him. 21Then he began to say to them, ‘Today this scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing.’
