Our Mission: Creating Caring Communities

Christian Formation & Education

In order to make God known, we must know God;
and to know God is to worship God!
Our Sunday celebrations follow the liturgical calendar,
beginning with the Advent Season in early December
and continuing through the Reign of Christ Sunday in late November.
Major festivals are observed with special services.

Sunday worship is the place where we are energized
to serve as disciples of Christ.
In following the Revised Common Lectionary, we hold in common
with other major denominations and the Roman Catholic Church
a systematic and scriptural approach to worship.

We invite you to join us each week for worship and celebration.
Following is a schedule of upcoming events and services
with the lections for each Sunday.

All ages are welcome
to grow in faith together!

There are several opportunities for getting together for small group studies.

Wednesday night--Prayer Shawl Knitting Ministry. Lois Tarbell is captain

Thursday morning--9:00 am--Holy Time Bible Study

Please
contact the church office if you have an interest in the small group ministry or if you'd like more information on any of the above groups.
Prayer Shawl Knitting Ministry:

A group of loving, dedicated volunteers meet on Wednesday evenings. Creating prayer shawls begins with prayers and blessings for the recipients. The intercessions are continued throughout the creation of the shawls. Upon completion, a final blessing is offered by members of the group before the shawl is sent on its way. Both the giver and receiver experience the unconditional embrace of a sheltering, nurturing God during times of stress or illness.

If you want to participate in any way, in this caring ministry, contact
Lois Tarbell, 610-258-0627.

New Sunday School for Adults!

Silencing the Christians is a 14-week program that will inform about how your voice and your religious freedom is gradually being taken away. Hosted by Janet Parshall, the episodes of SPEECHLESS will inform you about how America's Christians are being methodically silenced. Each episode is a 23 minute DVD with a discussion guide. SPEECHLESS episodes carry a vast array of subjects and were compiled from many individuals also over the country. SPEECHLESS has the information Christians need in order to understand what is happening in our society and why. The topics covered in October will be: Grandmas behind bars, Olivia's Song, Vows on the Boardwalk, Lone Star, Justice, and Fairness Doctrine.

This adult Sunday School class will be held before Worship at 9:15 AM.
Even if you can't attend all 14 sessions,
come when you can.
