CHOIRS AT EPWORTH UMC
There are currently two choirs at the church, the Chancel Choir and the Children/Youth Choir. Both choirs are always welcoming new members and voices to join in praise and worship.
Adult Chancel Choir rehearses at 6:45 pm on Thursdays, in the sanctuary.
In addition to weekly worship, they present special concerts during the year.

Taize worship in the church services
At Epworth UMC an aspect of Taize worship is incorporated into the worship services. The most characteristic - and copied - aspect of Taize worship is their song-prayer sandwich. The leader says a short prayer, then the congregation sings a short chorus, such as:
O Lord, hear my prayer,
O Lord, hear my prayer,
When I call, answer me.
And then they sustain the last note, or continue humming, as the leader says the next prayer. The emphasis of this style of worship is on silence, light and above all, the meditative weaving together of prayer and music. Taize is also deeply committed to religious unity.
